Why learning something every day is important
Learning something daily helps you realize how much you don’t know. It may be personal or professional, but whatever it is, it will remind you that you always have something to learn. As an example, I learned today that in the town where I live, there is very little chance of the state police enforcing a law if they did not witness it personally. Even though I have a confession of the person who admitted to doing the wrong thing, they are not interested in pursuing this legal action because they did not witness it. Because my town does not have a local police department, I seem to have no additional recourse. So, my lesson learned is that even for the most minor infractions, I need to dial 911 to take away state resources to document the incident.
While interviewing a company yesterday for our workflow review service, I had the chance to share a moment with an underwriter who learned to do something they never knew how to do in the Encompass® platform.
