Innovate something today

Innovation may sound intimidating, or you may feel that only certain people can do this, but the reality is that everyone can innovate something just about every day. Another word for innovation to make it sound achievable is to use the word wish. Whenever we do a workflow review with any department, we save time to find out what they wish for. We call this a "Spark seed" for innovation.

Growing your spark seed into a full-blown change is entirely different and can be long and expensive, and it may never even happen after all that. The goal is to evaluate what you want to create or change, which is important enough to work on. Once you find that the idea is important, it is almost guaranteed that you will figure out something possible to achieve along that idea. Depending on the ideas, you may never see them come to fruition, but it is ubiquitous to accomplish incremental steps to ultimately move forward.

Moving forward is the hidden agenda within the idea of innovation. As you're reading this, think about something that you wish would make your day more productive or profitable. Please write it down and look at the words to consider why you feel that idea is essential. Why is that idea going to help you? How is that idea? Going to move you forward or your company forward? Once you have those questions answered, you can start figuring out the next step towards that idea.
